Michael L. Blackburn, PA-C started with Bluegrass Orthopaedics in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky PA program. He has experience in neurosurgery and emergency medicine.
Cheslee Bloyd, PA-C has been with Bluegrass Orthopaedics since 2007. He is a graduate of Marietta College. Cheslee covers a wide range of orthopaedic specialties including hand and sports medicine injuries.
Jim Farris, PA-C has been with Bluegrass Orthopaedics since 1994. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky PA program. Jim has extensive experience dealing with back and spinal issues.
Evan Henson, MMS, PA-C is a graduate of University of Kentucky Physician Assistant Program where he received his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. He spent 4 years with a large multi-specialty orthopedic group in Rockford, IL before moving back to Lexington to work with Dr Christensen. Evan is a Lexington native, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Transylvania University in 2005 with a major in Biology and minor in Music. He went on to participate in Spinal Cord and Brain Injury research at UK, earning a Masters in Medical Sciences in 2008 prior to attending PA school. He is board certified by the NCCPA.
Michael S. Jones, PA-C is a graduate of Anne Arundel Community College and is Board Certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Matt grew up in Montana. He attended college in Minnesota where he played football and studied biology. He went to graduate school for PA studies in Des Moines, IA. After earning his Masters he moved to Rockford, IL to work with an orthopedic surgeon who specialized in knee and hip replacements. Seven years later, he joined team Christensen and Bluegrass Orthopaedics. Matt says “This was a fantastic fit for me as I really enjoy hip/knee replacement surgery as well as the patient population”
Danielle Mayton, PA-C started with Bluegrass Orthopaedics in 2013. She is a graduate of King’s College Wilkes-Barre PA program. She received her BS degree in 1996. Her previous experience included orthopaedics and cardiothoracic surgery.
Graduate from University of Kentucky Physician Assistant program in 2009. BS in Human Nutrition from UK. Board Certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
Derek Winebrenner, PA-C has been with Bluegrass Orthopaedics since 1995. He has a BS in Psychology and a BHS in PA studies from the University of Kentucky.
