Bluegrass Orthopaedics' London is an orthopedic clinic open on Wednesdays. Sports medicine specialist Dr. Owen McGonigle, along with Mark Burch, PA-C, serve athletes of all ages at this location. BGO is also the official sports medicine provider for local area high schools in London and Corbin with athletic trainers caring for the high school student-athletes of North and South Laurel as well as Corbin High School.
I was so very impressed with all the staff. Everyone was efficient, knowledgeable, helpful, well organized and friendly. Everything you could ask for in the medical field.

Dr. Donegan did a great job fixing my collarbone. It was broken in six places. He put in a plate and 12 screws. There were no problems during the surgery and my recovery was swift. This is the second (unrelated) injury I’ve had where I’ve had to consult Bluegrass Ortho and Dr. Harrod. The first requires surgery; the second did not. The first requires surgery; the second did not. In both instances, from the receptionist all the way up to the great doc himself, everyone was courteous, polite, professional, and sincerely understanding and helpful of/to my injury. As for Dr. Harrod—Fantastic! Most importantly, he’s competent. Second most important, he explains everything to the patient and allows ample time for questions.

It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going....It was the day after Christmas and my daughter kept asking me to ride her new hover board she had gotten, and I kept saying, “No I will fall off of it”. She kept insisting I ride it and you probably know where this story is going. To make a long story short, I rode it and fell off of it breaking the radial head in multiple pieces. This happened around 9:00 pm and I had already made up my mind after it happened that I was not going to the emergency room that night as the pain was minimal. I knew first thing the next morning I was going to call Bluegrass Orthpeodics. The only opening they had was for the clinic in Georgetown and without any hesitation I said I will take it. It is well worth the two plus hours it takes to get there from my hometown. The x-ray confirmed the fracture and they scheduled and MRI and appointment with Dr. Donegan. Needless to say he explained the procedure and how he was going to try and put the fragments back together, if not he would have to put an implant in for my radial head. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Central Baptist was awesome as it was an outpatient procedure and everything went great. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Donegan and the staff at BO. I would refer any of my family and friends. Thankfully my movement is as well as it was prior to the accident if not better..Very satisfied and grateful.

Dr. Favetto is amazing. I walked into his office in pain and walked out pain free. He completely explained my condition and my options so that I could make an informed decision. I chose a steroid shot for my hand and it worked miracles....Dr. Favetto is amazing. I walked into his office in pain and walked out pain free. He also told me that the length of the pain relief would differ from patient to patient and that would further help me to decide if I wanted to have surgery for the arthritis. I highly recommend Dr. Favetto and I will continue to see him if I have further issues.
