Personal Statement
Early on in my training I knew I wanted to become a spine surgeon. I enjoy the complexity of spine surgery because the challenge makes it interesting. Healing spine injuries can be a long process, but I'm happy to go through it with my patients.
What sets me apart from other surgeons is that I'm a good listener. I figure out someone's specific problem, and not just what the MRI report says or what somebody else has told them.
At UK Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, we take care of all orthopaedic problems. We take care of bone cancers, complex spine issues and ligament injuries. My favorite part of working here is being able to interact with great colleagues. Working with neurosurgeons and general surgeons close by is advantageous. Treating a variety of spine issues and seeing patients from different areas allows me to offer a broader scope of care. This allows us to handle the most complex care in one place.
