I've been going here for years. I've been seen for my ankle, knee and shoulder. He has done MRI's on everything and ordered xrays when needed. He has always been so thorough and helpful. I went to see Dr. Harrod about my bunion on my right foot. After looking at x-rays and learning about my ability to walk well in wide athletic shoes, he recommended that I not have surgery at this time. Since I have arthritis in my big... I went to see Dr. Harrod about my bunion on my right foot. After looking at x-rays and learning about my ability to walk well in wide athletic shoes, he recommended that I not have surgery at this time. Since I have arthritis in my big toe joint, the recovery time would be 3-4 months. I was surprised but pleased that Dr. Harrod told me that he could fix my bunion problem, but advised me to wait until I was having difficulty walking. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the staff at Bluegrass Orthopaedics, and with Dr. Harrod's professionalism.
