Bluegrass Orthopaedics is proud to acknowledge our latest Comeback Champion - Mr. Michael Thomson! Mr. Thomson fell off a step and fell on May 30th, and unfortunately fractured his proximal humerus near his shoulder joint. After an initial x-ray and CT scan, Dr. Donegan believed Mr. Thomson would need a surgery to fix the fracture, but due to some medical concerns, decided for a more conservative approach. While initial immobilization would help heal his fracture, Mr. Thomson did need some physical therapy to help with his elbow motion, and eventually shoulder motion.
"From the first visit, I felt improvement. All the staff were helpful and positive. Michelle (Sarrica) was outstanding in both skills and manner. Now, after many weeks, with great direction and help, I am able to function much better again. Thank you everyone for the help!"
Everyone at BGO is very happy that Mr. Thomson is doing so well, and thank him for the kind words!
Michelle Sarrica, PTA has this to say about Mr. Thomson: "Mr. Thomson was a pleasure to work with. He would always work hard here in the clinic and at home to reach his goals. I appreciate my patients who show up and give so much effort into their rehab to get back to a functional life! I wish him all the best!"
