LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY - Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) is excited to partner with Kentucky Cheer Academy (KCA) as their official sports medicine provider. BGO's team of Kelsey Boudreaux, PT, DPT and Katie Lanahan, ATC will be on-hand (3) evenings per week to provide care and treatment for KCA's cheerleaders. Kelsey will also be providing care during competition weekends as the teams travel outside of Lexington.
"Bluegrass Orthopaedics has long been committed to athletes of all ages, and we understand the safety of our youth is paramount. Our commitment to the Lexington community continues through this partnership with Kentucky Cheer Academy. We are excited to partner with KCA to provide sports medicine coverage for many of their evening programs, as well as during cheerleading competitions," says Andrew Carlson, BGO's Director of Business Development and Sports Medicine.
Bluegrass Orthopaedics will equip the facility with equipment to assist with injuries that may be sustained during practices. The sports medicine team will be able to care for cheerleaders in a designated medical office within the KCA facility. Kelsey and Katie will also be providing educational opportunities for the cheerleaders, and their families, on safety, treatment of common aches and pains, as well as nutrition tips to keep the cheerleaders healthy!
