Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center (BSSC) is celebrating the groundbreaking of their new outpatient surgery center. The ceremony was held Thursday July 21st at 3475 Blazer Parkway in Lexington, KY. The BSSC will continue to be the only privately held orthopaedic outpatient surgery center in the region, specializing in advanced bone and joint procedures. Bluegrass Orthopaedics' surgeons, the Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center and Bluegrass Orthopaedics families, and representatives from Growth Orthopedics were present at the event.
The center will be moving down the street from a space containing (3) operating rooms to a state-of-the art location that will contain upwards of (10) operating rooms as well as overnight capabilities. This move continues to align with the needs of the community, with benefits of high quality and lower cost of services, convenient access to care, and improved efficiency and coordination of care.
There will be additional information to come, but the expected ribbon cutting of this new facility will be in the Fall of 2023.
